Koval Grippo at the Blue Stone Gallery

Koval Grippo will be having at exhibit entitled ‘The Wisdom and Power of Nature’ at the Blue Stone Gallery in Milford, PA, through August 21st. This exhibit features a series of landscapes that local abstract artist Koval Grippo describes as a Testament to the Wisdom and Power of Nature.
Grippo’s first love for art sprouted from the contemporary art movement in New York City, which she experienced as a child. Grippo earned her degree in art from Keystone College and continued her studies at the Tyler School of Art in Philadelphia. After graduating, she apprenticed for various artists, expanding her boundaries to include jewelry-making, commercial art, and couture fashion. While working as a young painter in Washington D.C., Grippo was awarded the District of Columbia Arts and Humanities Commission Visual Arts Grant, which allowed her to pursue her dreams of creating abstract art.
Grippo has exhibited her work in over 20 galleries throughout the United States and Canada. In 2010, she received a NEPA Regional Art Award, an award created and hosted by her alma mater (Keystone) in collaboration with Marywood University AFA Gallery and the University at Scranton.
The inspiration for Grippo’s latest series comes from nature itself. She explains, “Within the mountains and above the skies, there is a power of emotions, color and energy that is so magical. Within those colors are the invincible shapes, lines and essence of life. I am honored to have a deep connection to this pure source that inspires me to express and create. In my paintings, I try to capture the emotion of the moment by using light, movement and vivacious layers of color to express the landscape.”
