• Opening reception: Friday, June 13, 2014 from 6:00pm – 8:00pm at the Schulman Gallery,
located on the second floor of the Campus Center at Luzerne County Community College.
• Description of Exhibition: Join us for the Opening Reception of Deconstructed, a stimulating
exhibition populated by the works of five exceptional contemporary artists. Hailing from New York to
Philadelphia to the Poconos and back, these five artists present a dynamic range of visual insight
and experience. Heyen, Hnat, Luchinger, and Murphy all possess impressive pedigrees, and their
combined efforts, demonstrated in Deconstructed, present a complex understanding of modern
abstraction.
In addition to having the first look at this captivating exhibition, guests of our Opening Reception
Event have the opportunity to meet and converse with these influential artists.
We look forward to your presence during this thought-provoking evening of art..
Deconstructed, a non-objective and abstract fine art exhibit, will be proudly hosted by the Schulman

The Schulman Gallery is open and free to the public Monday through Friday from 9:00am to
5:00pm. For additional viewings or special openings or events, please contact curator.
The Schulman Gallery is located in the heart of the campus of Luzerne County Community College,
on the second floor of the Campus Center.
• Participating Artists: Casey Heyen, Philadelphia PA, Ryan Hnat, Scranton PA, Claudine
Luchinger, Miller Place, NY, Brian Murphy, East Stroudsburg PA
• Special Events: A variety of Special Events, featuring the exhibiting artists of Deconstructed, will
be held throughout the summer at the Schulman Gallery. These events will include workshops,
lectures, Q&A forums, and more. Beginning two weeks after the Opening Reception Event and
occurring bi-weekly through the exhibition, these Special Events will be free and open to both

• Additional Information: Hors d’oeuvres, desserts, and light refreshments will be served at the
opening reception event. The Schulman Gallery is open and free to the public Monday through
