Renewed Textiles: Hand-printing Patterns on Fabric with Valerie Kiser
Saturday, June 14 10 AM-3 PM, $115
Explore the technique of hand printing on fabric using simple materials easily obtained at your local art supply store. Design and carve a rubber stamp to create your own unique home décor and fashions. The focus will be on techniques anyone can use at home without special equipment, and to explain all of the basics of textile design from creating a repeating pattern to combining colors.

Bring something special from your home you would like to renew and personalize such as a sheet of pillowcases, a flat bed sheet, tablecloth, curtains, t-shirts or other fashion. There will be plenty of time dedicated to creating this piece. Depending on the scale of your item you could go home with a finished design and if not, you will leave with the skill set to finish it on your own at home.
