ELIGIBILITY – All current AFA members are eligible to submit art for a “Members’ Show.” There is an entry fee of $10 for the first piece of work, and $5 each up to three additional pieces (a total of $25 for four works). Works may be in any medium; must be original; not previously exhibited at the AFA Gallery; framed and matted (if appropriate); and ready to hang (WITH WIRE). ALL works are expected to be for sale. AFA Gallery will retain 30% commission on the sale price.
JURYING – Jurying of all works will be done for space. At least one work of each artist submitting work will be hung.
DELIVERY – Work must be delivered to the AFA Gallery, 514 Lackawanna Ave. Scranton, PA, on Friday, April 25 or Saturday, April 26 from 12 to 5pm. Please contact the Gallery Coordinator with any concerns.
EXHIBITION DATES – The May 2014 Members’ Show will be exhibited on both floors of the gallery. It will be on display from Thursday, May 1 through Saturday, May 24.
RECEPTION -A reception will take place on First Friday, May 2 from 6-9 P.M. at the AFA Gallery.
It is expected that all artists in the exhibit will contribute food for the reception. Please let us know you will be helping to make our reception a grand celebration.
VOLUNTEERING – It is expected that all members in the exhibit will volunteer at the gallery during the month of the exhibition. Please remember this is how we keep AFA going!
Needs: Gallery sitting, “winter cleaning,” holiday decorating, mailings, marketing and planning for 2015!
