This weekend marks the opening of the Butternut Gallery & Second Story Books’ third annual Fiber Arts exhibit, on view September 11 through October 6, 2013. The exhibit includes work by seven artists–Sally Jones, Robyn Adams, Esther Cristol, Judy VanPelt, Karen Farmer, Esther Welden and Kris Laguna.
Everyone is invited to an opening reception on Saturday September 14 from 3 – 5 p.m.
As you scroll through this email, you will see what different things these artists do with their different types of fiber: freewheeling paintings on fabric by Robyn Adams; Judy VanPelt’s imaginative fabric-sculpted figures; mixed media fabric pictures by Kris Laguna; stylish scarves by Sally Jones; recycled- sweater blankets by Esther Cristol; personable needle-felted frogs by Esther Welden; and contemporary art quilts for the wall by Karen Farmer.
With this little taste of the fun and beauty of this show, please plan to come in and see the full panoply of work in the Fiber Arts exhibit!
The gallery is open Wednesday-Saturday 11am – 5pm, and Sunday 12 – 4pm.
