With an opening reception on Friday, November 23 from 3 – 5 p.m., GAIETY FOR GIVING offers practical and decorative objects from felted scarves to warm recycled-sweater lap quilts to paintings, prints, jewelry, extravagantly stylish mittens, one-of-a-kind ornaments, pottery and more. GAIETY FOR GIVING includes the work of such popular artists as Brian Keeler, Earl Lehman, Alice Mischke, Kris Laguna, Ellen Jamiolkowski, Betty Bryden, Janet Gere and Pam Strother. Also available are photographs by Constantinos Sfikas, and drawings and prints from FRIENDS OF THE KITCHEN GARDEN by Zoe Tilley Poster, including the Buckeye butterfly shown below.
Second Story Books also offers a great selection of large format books for young and old, pop up books, art books, holiday stories, poetry, fiction, history, nature writing, AND a brand-new, interesting selection of used CD’s – mostly jazz, some vocals, many instrumentals, all in excellent condition.
GAIETY FOR GIVING will fill the gallery and bookstore from November 23 through December 30. During that time, the gallery will be open Wednesday through Saturday 11 – 5, Sunday 12 – 4. We will be closed on Thanksgiving.
