ELIGIBILITY – All AFA members are eligible to submit art for the “2012 AFA Winter Member Show”. There is an entry fee of $10 for the first work, and $5 each for up to three additional works (a total of $25 for four works). Works may be in any medium; be original; not previously exhibited at the AFA Gallery; framed and matted (if appropriate); and ready to hang (WITH WIRE), if to be wall-mounted. ALL works are expected to be for sale. AFA Gallery will retain 25% commission of the sale price.
JURYING – Jurying of all works will be done for space. At least one work of each artist submitting work will be hung.
DELIVERY – Works may be dropped off at the AFA Gallery, 514 Lackawanna Avenue, Scranton, on November 29th, 30th and December 1st, from noon to 5 PM.
EXHIBITION DATES – The exhibition will be on exhibit on both floors at the AFA Gallery from Thursday, December 6th, through Friday, December 28th. Gallery hours are from noon until 5 P.M. on Thursday, Friday and Saturdays. Artists must pick up their work on Saturday, December 29th, or during Gallery hours the following week.
RECEPTION – A reception will take place on First Friday, December 7th, from 6-9 P.M. at the AFA Gallery. It is expected that all artists in the exhibit will contribute food for the reception. Please let us know you will be helping to make our reception a grand celebration.
VOLUNTEERING – It is expected that all members in the exhibit will volunteer at the gallery during the month of the exhibition. Please remember this is how we keep AFA going!.
Needs: gallery sitting, ‘winter cleaning’, holiday decorating, mailings, marketing and planning for 2013!
