Riverworks III: Lackawanna River Corridor Association, Celebrating 25 Years
September 6-29, 2012
Opening reception: First Friday, September 7 from 6-9 PM
Please join us at ArtWorks Gallery & Studio to celebrate the Lackawanna River and the great work that the Lackawanna River Corridor Association and its executive director, Bernie McGurl has been doing to enhance and protect our watershed. Bernie has said, “Water is the carrier of messages” and for the past 25 years, the organization has worked tirelessly “to promote projects that address the issues of water pollution, recreation, community development, land and water conservation, and encourage public involvement with their river and watershed…”
The theme for this juried exhibition is the river and its watershed. You can participate in two ways. We invite you to create artwork to share your views and interpretations of one of our area’s greatest natural treasures. The drop off dates are August 24th and 25th from 11AM – 3PM at ArtWorks Gallery & Studio, 503 Lackawanna Avenue, Scranton.
Or you can join us to celebrate this great anniversary. An opening reception will be held on First Friday, September 7th from 6-9 PM. For information on the LRCA including a complete description of the watershed and its access points please visit www.lrca.org.
