Bach to Basie at the Blue Heron Gallery

Debbie Reeder, principle cellist of the Opera Company of Philadelphia, Co-Founder of Music in the Mountains as well as a member of The Philadelphia Trio will be featured at the Blue Heron Gallery’s show opening on August 24th.  Debbie will be playing Bach selections from 5:15 to 6:30.  There is a $10 admission for the evening which also includes a poetry reading by David Elliott and Joseph Burinsky at 6:30.  This will be followed by a west coast swing dance lesson at 6:45.  Two jazz and swing bands will then play, beginning at 7:30 with the Sunnyside Combo followed by the Pennsylvania Jazz Alliance Trio at 9:00.
The exhibit features 22 artists in “Seeking The Muse- A decade of Art at the Blue Heron Gallery.” The art remains on view until Jan 24th 2013.
