Lesli & Kirk Vanzandebergen and Archie Johnson and Ruth Cohen will be exhibiting at the Butternut Gallery in Montrose, with an opening reception on Saturday, June 16, from 6-8 PM.
Archie and Ruth are Mud & Fire Potters, located in Little Meadows, PA. They have been working in clay since the early ’70’s, making functional, decorative and sculptural works that continuously evolved through the creative process and attentive work. They have been regulars on the Artists’ Open House Weekend in Susquehanna County.
Lesli and Kirk have been inspired by their surroundings in Brackney since 1989, while commercial photography is their profession. The setting of their renovated 1830’s barn, along with wildlife, both natural and domestic have figured greatly in their creative work.
The exhibition is on view through July 8. Gallery hours are Wednesday thru Saturday, 12 – 4 PM.
