‘The Art of Dance – The Music of Art’, an exhibition of dance- and music-related visual art will take place at the Blue Heron Gallery in Wyalusing from August 15 through December 15. A special opening reception will take place on Friday, August 19, featuring live swing and jazz music by the Brian Murphy Combo as well as several area dance troupes.
The dance-inspired art will be provided by invited regional artists. Poets will participate by submitting poems related to the theme. Their words accompany the images in a full-color catalog published in conjunction with the exhibition.
Admission to attend the opening gala is $10 and benefits the gallery. Refreshments are included. The exhibit can be experienced free of charge during normal gallery hours – 9 AM to 5:30 PM Monday through Friday, and select Saturdays from 10 AM to 2 PM.
