First Annual “Small Works Juried Exhibition” at the Windsor Whip Works Art Gallery in Windsor NY -$1,000 first prize!! Deadline for submission is Sept. 1, 2011. The exhibition will run from November 19, 2011-January 14, 2012.
Categories – Painting, Drawing, Sculpture & Mixed Media
Eligibility- Open to any artist 18 years of age or older living in the United States. All works must be original, no giclees, and not previously shown within 50-mile radius of Windsor, NY.
Juror- Alan Singer is a New York born artist, writer, and Professor in the School of Art at R.I.T. in Rochester, NY. His art has been featured in gallery and museum shows including the Everson in Syracuse, and Smithsonian in Washington, D.C. For over forty years he has been active as a painter and printmaker, illustrator and designer, and has curated and juried many shows in the northeast.
Opening Reception & Awards – An opening reception for the artists and the public will be held on Saturday, November 19, 2011. The cash prize for first place will be $1,000. Other cash prizes and artists’ materials will be awarded for second and third place as well as honorable mention certificates suitable for framing.
